MISSION POSSIBLE 2011

Over 30 people (download conference roster) gathered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 3rd to 4th, to take part in Mission Possible 2011, the CHRM annual conference.  

The CHRM conference (download conference booklet) used a variety of interactive experiences such as panels, break-out sessions, best-practice sharing, and a shared session with the LSA Communicators Network as well as a networking breakfast and luncheon.

On May 3rd, attendees heard about HR legal updates, cost effective ways to manage unemployment claims, e-learning, and new ways to recruit, supervise, and engage a multi-generational workforce. In the face of current economic challenges, it is possible for social ministry organizations to focus on quality services, improve efficiency and enhance employee engagement. 

On May 4th, CHRM  joined with 20 members of the Lutheran Communicators Network to actively engage in a discussion about  maximizing an organization's use of social media while minimizing risk of employee utilization. The joint session also addressed ways to purposefully develop a corporate culture that matches external branding efforts and enhances employee engagement.

Connect the Dots Reception
A time of hospitality was co-hosted by CHRM, LITN, LSA-DN and the LSA Communicators Network on Tuesday evening from 5:30 to 7:30 pm, making for a great time for almost 170 to connect with others will tapping into the resources and expertise of LSA's networks. The reception was open to all.

CHRM Annual Meeting
The CHRM conference also included time for the CHRM annual business meeting.
