August 6, 2014 – Housing Meeting Agenda Highlights:

  • Andy McMahon, Managing Director of Government Affairs & Innovations for the Corporation for Supportive Housing, to discuss social impact investments and their current work with LSS of MN
  • Tanya Hahn, Managing Director and Branch Manager of Baird in Columbus, to discuss REITs, tax-exempt bonds and other pooled investment strategies

August 7 & 8, 2014 – DN Meeting Agenda Highlights:

  • Mark Sciegaj from the National Resource Center for Participant-Directed Services to highlight trends in self-directed services and supports, including workforce and managed care issues
  • Rachel Patterson from the Association of University Centers on Disability to outline opportunities and challenges of state transistions plans to comply with CMS' HCBS settings regulations
  • Susie Schatz, Director of Advocacy at LSS of MN, to discuss lessons learned from their successful statewide advocacy campaign to secure a 5% rate increase for HCBS
  • John Martin, Director of the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities, to debrief on Ohio’s evolving service and support models for individuals with I/DD
  • Updates from DN working groups including PAT, ELCA’s disability fundraising efforts and the FY 2015 Administrative Cost Survey
