Our focus aims to address racial disparities and improve outcomes for children, youth and families enrolled in Medicaid. This fall we met with policy makers, payers, philanthropists, and providers to explore innovative and sustainable solutions that work for families.

Over the next decade, the number of middle-income older adults who do not qualify for Medicaid yet cannot currently afford long-term services and supports will almost double to 15.9 million and become the fastest–growing proportion of older adults. Often termed “The Forgotten Middle,” this middle market of older adults are concerned about affording housing and long-term services and supports as they age in their community without being able to qualify for Medicaid.
