Housing Solutions Readiness Assessment & Activation

Housing insecurity is one of the most urgent challenges of our time. Families struggle to afford rent, older adults face impossible choices between shelter and medicine, and entire communities are destabilized by the lack of affordable, safe housing.

Across our network, social ministries, congregations and church partners hold the land, the vision, and the commitment to respond. The Lutheran Services in America Housing Solutions Collaborative empowers our members to advance affordable housing solutions, with a goal of creating 5,000 affordable housing units in the next three to five years.

A key strategy is bringing new resources to the network to build capacity, increase readiness and ensure projects are “loan ready.” Through the Health & Housing Solutions Collaborative Readiness Assessment and Activation, we aim to identify prospective borrowers and projects, diagnose capacity gaps, and provide activation support to prepare them for investment.
