PROGRAM COLLABORATIVES & MEETINGS Mission Leaders Convenings

  • March 15, 2023

2:30–4:00 p.m. ET

The Mission Leaders is a Lutheran Services in America affinity group comprised of the mission leaders in Lutheran social ministry organizations. Its purpose is to provide a forum for learning and peer support, strengthening and empowering leaders as they fulfill the mission of their organization.

The group spotlights the mission work currently being carried out across the network as we collectively live out our faith in service to others. It upholds a faith-based heritage, strengthens the connections between Lutheran social ministries and the church, and reinforces the priority of mission in their organizations.

Sessions

As our social ministry organizations evolve and change, how is our partnership with congregations evolving? How can we continuously engage our faith and community partners? The Mission Leaders affinity group will be discussing these questions at its next quarterly meeting on Wednesday, March 15, 2:30–4:00 p.m. ET. Julie Pfab, Director of Community Services at Lyngblomsten, and Peter Fritch-Gallatin, Director of Spiritual Care at Ecumen, will share with peers how they are re-energizing church relations in partnership with their broader mission objectives in the community.
